Job Summary

GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities, including THRESHER and DRAGONSPELL, that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground. These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it's doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. GA-CCRi is looking for a highly motivated Senior Test Engineer to bring automated testing expertise to our high-visibility, production-level systems (THRESHER and DRAGONSPELL). You will be joining an existing test team in our Chantilly, VA office while helping to establish automated testing expertise within that team. Competitive candidates will possess a strong background in Selenium test script design and development. Preference will also be given to those candidates who are interested in building and leading an automated testing team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building a comprehensive suite of automated tests for our high-visibility, production-level systems.
  • Working closely with the development team on incorporating this test suite into the development process.
  • Working alongside developers to plan and design automated test cases for the system UI.
  • Analyzing the performance of automated tests, reporting results, and logging defects.
  • Potentially leading an automated testing team within the testing department.
  • With limited direction, this position conducts software inspection, testing, verification, and validation.
  • Reviews software design and change specifications to ensure software testing measures meet acceptable reliability standards and program objectives.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes software testing plans, some of which may be complex.
  • May lead and provide consultation for the analysis and development of test standards and procedures for software development and maintenance.
  • Participates in and may advise the development of software quality testing, operating methods, and processes.
  • Develops documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modifying software.
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
  • May provide training or direction to less experienced staff.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or a related discipline and nine or more years of professional software quality analyst experience. Equivalent professional quality analyst experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Strong background in Selenium WebDriver test script design and development
  • Extensive experience with developing Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Reports
  • Proficient in object-oriented languages (Java)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings
  • Ability to work within an existing team environment and potentially lead separate automated testing team
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related discipline and nine or more years of professional software quality analyst experience. (Equivalent technical experience may be substituted in lieu of education).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Selenium/Selenium Grid
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Maven
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)
  • Experience with Git and Git Repositories (GitLab)
  • Geospatial knowledge (Geoserver, mapping APIs, etc.)

Salary:$105,890 - $189,545
