Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, test equipment, ground support equipment, materials and/or supplies in support of local and deployed locations. Takes periodic inventory ensuring item availability to fill incoming requisitions. Typically, assignments are routine in nature but the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice is required. This opportunity is for 1st shift (06:00AM-3:30PM).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receives, stores and issues tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, materials and/or supplies. Supports local and deployed locations with tool related issues
  • Assembles new tool kits and upgrades and maintains existing tool kits. Ensures accurate distribution and tracking of items
  • Maintains database of issued, damaged, worn out or missing equipment. Researches and orders new or replacement tools
  • Maintains shop supply inventory. Orders and stores required supplies
  • Maintains accurate database of government owned property
  • Maintains ground support equipment. Cleans, oils, and performs minor repair on equipment to maintain or upgrade equipment
  • May periodically calibrate measuring devices
  • May be responsible for storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous material (HAZMAT)
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years progressive experience issuing, maintaining and monitoring tools, fixtures, dies and related devices.
  • Must be customer focused and possess:
    • Basic familiarity with office and inventory/stock control software
    • Full knowledge of material handling equipment and hand, machine and measuring tools
    • Mechanical skills to maintain company and government owned tools, fixtures, dies and devices
    • Skills to maintain the flow of work within the unit
    • Interpersonal skills and written communication skills to interface with employees and to accurately document
    • Basic mathematical skills
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work additional hours as required.
  • This opportunity will require the ability to work 2nd shift (2:30PM-12:00AM) and 3rd shift (10:00PM-7:30AM) as needed
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience utilizing SAP and SharePoint
  • Experience maintaining aircraft test equipment and consolidated tool kits (CTK’s)

Salary:$41,290 - $61,375
