Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our Agile Mission Systems group in Poway, CA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reports to the Director of Project Engineering and supports team of ~65 Engineers. Offloads administrative duties from the Director of Project Engineering.
  • Coordinates travel and processes expense reports.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies for the team.
  • Schedules executive level meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Coordinates VIP customer visits, tours, meals, social events, etc.
  • Maintains day-to-day schedule for the Director of Project Engineering.
  • Runs reports on department financial and man-power metrics and solicits stakeholder inputs.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and reports on the progress of unit work assignments and/or projects.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and/or hard copy reports and records.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of experience as a management assistant, department administrator, or related job function.
  • Familiarity with military aircraft and sensors is desirable.
  • Must be expertly proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Experience with SAP and Concur travel is desirable.
  • Must have demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets including use of formulas and advanced sorting formatting techniques.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to establish priorities.
  • Ability to identify issues and solve routine problems.
  • Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document and report.
  • Full knowledge of computer operations and applications.
  • The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance is desirable.

Salary:$56,180 - $83,518
