Summary: This position is available for Graduate or Undergraduate students to participate in supervised practical training and make substantive contributions in a professional field.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participates in the day to day ITC activities, assisting in the completion of routine, non-routine and advanced tasks.
  • Supports the import/export compliance, licensing, regulatory policy and operations activities of the GA-ASI International Trade Compliance Dept.
  • Completion of special projects, as assigned.
  • Conduct international trade data analysis and associated preparation of reports and memos.
  • Attend meetings and prepare meeting summaries and action item lists.
  • Interface with key GA-ASI customers, departments and stakeholders.
  • Participate and prepare import/export compliance trainings and briefings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP and other applications.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Job Qualifications:
  • Desired Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Software, Research skills, Database Management
  • Requires active enrollment and currently attending as an undergraduate student at a recognized college or university.
  • Applicants who will have completed their undergraduate degree by the time the internship program would begin, must be planning to continue in a graduate program immediately following the conclusion of the internship program.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
  • Ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.
  • Ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Basic communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Basic computer skills. This position pays at an hourly rate of $22.00 - $31.00/hr., depending on your specific field of study and the number of college years completed.
