We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to supervise a team in our USAF Programs group located in Poway, CA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide management and leadership direction for Contractor Logistics Support programs.
  • Maintains technical and business integrity of the programs.
  • Establish milestones and monitors adherence to program master plans and schedules and/or costs.
  • Ensure the program objectives and the Company’s contract commitments are met.
  • Act as primary customer contact to ensure satisfaction and manages the submittal of contract data items.
  • Develop program control mechanisms to effectively measure expenditures, labor and other resources necessary to manage program budget.
  • Estimate, order, track and provide status of repairs and materials.
  • Direct all operations of the program within cost limitations and schedule, including staff, systems, procurements, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and administration.
  • Responsible for accurately measuring progress of program; Identifies and corrects problems to avoid adverse effects to the program.
  • Present briefings to organizational and group management as well as customer representatives on significant program issues
  • Manage Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance programs for USAF and other customers.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as thirteen or more years of progressively complex program administration experience with at least seven of those years managing programs. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise and application of program management principles, concepts, and practice as well as program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.
  • Must be able to develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
  • Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.
  • Prior USAF maintenance/logistics experience desired.
