The Business Area Manager (BAM) serves as a liaison between program management, contracts, finance and project planning, leadership, and the customer on various contract business issues.

The primary function of the Project Manager - BAM is the oversight and management of the GA-ASI Proposal Process as it applies to the AMS P&L. The BAM ensures proposals are prepared in a consistent, timely manner to facilitate an efficient review and approval.

DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide Sr. Directors with Integrated Contract and Financial Management by providing a periodic summary of key contract and financial program elements. Such elements may include At Risk Memo Status, Status of financial contract actions, Earned Value data, and Program funding status.
  • Establish, update and maintain budgets in the following areas:
    • Bid & Proposal (B&P)
    • Internal Research & Development (IRAD)
    • Overhead/Staffing
    • Capital Projects
  • Develop and provide internal training and mentoring to Program Managers, Proposal Managers, and other AMS employees unfamiliar with GA-ASI processes.
  • Provides proposal development oversight, management and support to Program/Proposal Manager.
  • Support and Coordinate with Program Managers, Finance and Contracts on Forecast and At-Risk requests.
  • Manage AMS P&L facilities space planning
  • Create and provide budgeting support for Bid & Proposal (B&P), Independent Research and Development (IRAD), Capital, and Business Base requests. Support project plan(s) and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, funding management, quality, and specification goals are attained.
  • Interpret and administer policies, processes and procedures that impact project(s).
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Identify and assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Provide as-required support of various ad-hoc business management requirements.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and at least six years of progressively complex experience in project administration. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
  • Must possess:
    • Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
    • Ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature
    • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment

Salary:$72,500 - $129,770
