This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Receiving Department and our Critical Spares Warehouse and Distribution teams and functions. Plans and leads team members to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Works with other sites to develop and modify uniform operating procedures for the Company. Interprets and executes operational policies and procedures. Develops documentation and reports to reflect department activities. Develops programs and procedures for the training of assigned personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervises the daily activities of the Receiving and Spares Warehousing/Distribution departments by prioritizing work assignments. Plans and executes department workload to meet schedules.
  • Acts as the primary contact with the Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Contracts departments to resolve issues in the areas of production shortages, order discrepancies and export controls.
  • Implements quality standard procedures for the department, as well as departmental training procedures for personnel.
  • May develop new or revise existing electronic or hard copy systems and makes internal presentations.
  • Works with numerous internal customers and teams including the Program Office, Supply Chain, Transportation and Global Shipping Departments.
  • Participates in the selection, retention and development of personnel including interviewing, performance appraisals and promotion recommendations.
  • Develops programs and procedures for the training of personnel.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex logistics experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Managerial experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge and understanding of global logistics, warehousing and distribution principles, concepts, theories, regulations, and practices; and leadership skills including organizing, planning,

    • The ability to resolve complex issues.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, management and outside representatives, including providing direction to and scheduling work of assigned staff.
    • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; and,strong computer skills.
    • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

Salary:$90,930 - $162,788
