Job Summary General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources Benefits teams located in San Diego (Torrey Pines), CA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Administers and communicates the company's benefits program regarding plan options, policy features, enrollment and other requirements.
  • Manage, develop, and analyze dashboard of health and welfare benefits to identify trends and project potential costs.
  • Monitor and audit department Service Level Agreements and report results to management.
  • Analyze metrics through utilization data to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with benefits specialists by serving as a skilled expert for benefit programs including healthcare, retirement, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Manage database of resources to assist with compliance and operations.
  • Conduct audits in vendor systems to ensure compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • May assist in planning, developing, and redesigning company benefits programs and analyzing benefit costs.
  • May be involved with communication and implementation of wellness and health education initiatives.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training or a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional experience in a corporate Benefits Department. May substitute a certificate in human resources from a recognized organization and/or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must be customer focused and skilled in prioritizing and applying critical thinking.
  • Ability to accurately document department work instructions.
  • May substitute a certificate in human resources from a recognized organization and equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Demonstrates an extensive technical expertise and application of human resource principles, theories, concepts and practices, with the ability to organize, schedule, conduct and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones with some experience in project management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Salary:$73,700 - $128,780
