The CAM serves as a liaison between the engineering and program management departments. Monitors and analyzes progress and expedites critical path components and processes to maintain schedule. Evaluates and resolves barriers to task completion, some of which may be complex, related to design, quality, cost, and schedule. - Work with project team to decompose and allocate the scope documented in a Statement of Work (SOW) to create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Flex adaptability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
- Develop and manage large data sets in Excel to address specific program challenges.
- Administers and maintain large scale tracking and burn-down workbooks beyond typical Earned Value Management. Examples include procurement tracking, drawing burn-down, and line-of-balance trackers for manufacturing and assemblies.
- Guide engineers in the development of plans and time estimates.
- Manage both developmental and production (manufacturing) programs.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.
- May be required to interpret and administer policies and procedures that impact project(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management.
- May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
