Job Summary General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.

Under general supervision this position is responsible for inspecting parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures, and material to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company specifications, and quality requirements. Maintains, processes, and updates confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records and statistics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspects machined parts, components, assemblies and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM and ANSI, and ASME Code).
  • May observe testing and provide oversight, as necessary, to verify compliance with requirements.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Additional Duties Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be customer focused.
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to interpret routine information and respond to routine issues.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and written communication skills to interface with employees.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

Salary:$35,390 - $52,625
