Job Summary General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.

With general direction and limited review, this position is responsible for overseeing governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with material management best practices. The role involves working across departments to enforce process and data governance policies, improve process and data quality, and ensure that processes are managed ethically and efficiently to meet the organization's business intelligence and analytics needs.

We are seeking a talented data driven individual to join our Material Management and Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution (GPD) Governance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the review and governance of material management, GPD, and cross-functional operations support processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement and manage a material management process and GPD governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures
  • Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, identify process gaps, and facilitate the identification and implementation of appropriate solutions
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of material management processes and GPD quality standards and monitoring systems.
  • Identify process and data quality issues and coordinate resolution processes with relevant stakeholders
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for operations support processes and practices and liaison with functional area stakeholders to resolve issues and provide guidance for addressing new or unique scenarios
  • Manage, monitor, and facilitate the regular review company owned inventory
  • Collaborate with the Business Technology and Process team to manage improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and six or more years technical experience working with computerized systems such as financial, accounting, purchasing, payroll, human resources, manufacturing, or other business related systems. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Management or a related field preferred.
  • A Master’s degree in Business is a plus.
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
  • SAP Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution (GPD) experience strongly desired
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and/or projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.

Salary:$81,080 - $141,650
