Job Summary General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process and Compliance Auditor to join our Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group located in San Diego, CA. Under general supervision, this position supports the Operational Excellence department and is responsible for participating in process audits and corrective actions to ensure non-conformances are addressed and processes are continually improved across various GA-EMS site locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with AS9100 internal, external and customer audits across various GA-EMS sites.
  • Participates in defining and implementing process improvements through collaboration with multiple disciplines to improve the company’s technical, cost and schedule performance.
  • Assists with the corrective action process to identity root causes and develop corrective actions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • May participate in documenting, analyzing, and improving processes using different techniques to include value stream mapping, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.
  • Coordinates with related business areas to ensure process improvements are successful across the company.
  • May contribute to the development of procedures, instructions, and training material.
  • May provide management with updates on projects, goals, success criteria and results.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Work experience relating to ISO 9001, AS9100 or other standard requirements.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Frequent use and general knowledge of quality management system requirements.
  • The ability to identify and interpret data.
  • The ability to develop and present detailed statistical reports and documents.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to explain information effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Good organization skills to maintain flow of work within the unit; the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and applications.

Salary:$62,510 - $105,628
