Job Summary General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world’s leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. ITS Project Manager within our ITS division.

Working under consultative direction, this position is responsible for the leading the design, development and implementation of one or more major Information Technology Services (ITS) projects. Oversees team direction, project structure, schedule and budget to achieve intended business results. Develops and implements training for personnel participating in project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, develops and implements major Information Technology Services (ITS) projects
  • Ability to manage HR systems implementation projects.
  • Actively managed team direction, project plans, schedule, budgets, and corresponding vendor PO’s.
  • Lead project review discussions and engages IT, HR stakeholders in driving decisions.
  • Develops and implements training for personnel participating in project; ensures effectiveness of training.
  • Builds and communicates weekly project updates slide decks.
  • Actively participates in testing deliverables and possess effective communication.
  • Ensures efficient and uninterrupted operations; develops innovative solutions to unusually complex technical and procedure problems.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline and fourteen or more years progressively complex experience in Information management/project leadership. Additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate an extensive technical understanding of Information Technologies principles, concepts, theory, regulations and practices; comprehensive leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads or projects to meet established deadlines, milestones and budgets; the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; and experience managing large-scale projects.
  • Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify, analyze, interpret and resolve unusually complex management and technical problems; excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings; excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, senior management and outside representatives; and, excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

Salary:$105,800 - $189,388
